Faro Maritime Museum (Museu Maritimo)
The Maritime Museum (Museu Maritimo) in Faro is located on the marina (Doca de Recreio) close to Faro Railway Station, the Adega Nova Faro restaurant and the starting point for the Comboio Turistico.
Exhibits
The Maritime Museum shows the importance of the sea to the region of the Algarve with displays of model ships, including the boats that took part in Portugal's "Age of the Discoveries," nautical instruments, fishing tackle, sea shells, naval knots, and marine life.
