Buses to and from Faro Airport
The number 16 Proximo bus connects Faro Airport to Faro Beach (Ilha de Faro), the bus station and the nearby Faro railway station.
The journey takes about 20 minutes though it is quicker in the early mornings. The whole route is about 6 km. There are 15 stops to the airport from the bus station and 13 stops from the airport.
The bus station in Faro is on Avenida da Republica and has buses to Lisbon, other towns in the Algarve such as Lagos, Albufeira and Vilamoura, and also buses to Sevilla in Spain.

The flat fare is presently 2.25 Euros. Buses run from the Airport from 5.20 am until 12.10 am (just after midnight). From Faro Bus Station buses start at 5 am with the last bus at 11.45 pm. Services vary slightly on weekends and holidays but the first and last buses are the same.
The ticket office at Faro bus station is open from 6 am to 11 pm, Monday to Friday and weekdays and holidays from 7 am to 11 pm.
